Is it possible to get some sort of date attached to the widget "habitat slidebar news". Im using it on my frontpage as the "latest news" and would like to see a date aswell, when the news was added.

It's possible to modify the widget but it's easier if you use other news widgets like: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/last-updated-posts-widget/
or
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/category-posts/
