If you have troubles since the update to WordPress 4.5 please read this post before opening a new thread.
Question: I am using the “post slider” to display “spotlighted” events upcoming at our college, on our home page. I am using the plugin “Events manager.” I have it set to “events-categories.”
Each upcoming event has a different date and time, of course. Each post looks fine on individual event pages, and the posts look fine on the home page.
However, when I link to them on the home page, with a scrolling list of spotlighted events, each date displays as identical, and all are incorrect. Last night, they were defaulting to May 16, 2014, so obviously it is not a problem with a “default to today’s date” sort of thing.
I have a screen shot of this, if that would help.
Thank you in advance.
We’ve never tested its functionality with any Events manager plugin but it sounds like the data being given to the post slider is either incomplete or the way the plugin has the date set is using a custom field instead of the posts date created field.
If that is the case then you would need to create a copy of the post slider php file and then customize it to work with the custom meta values of the plugin.
