   I'm having an issue trying to embed video into the Flashlight theme. I've looked through some of the threads here and can't get a clear "how to" for this theme. Does it exist for this theme at all?

   Let me explain my overall goal and maybe you can help me.

   I want to have a video page. Not just for posting on my blog but a portfolio type page where all my Vimeo or YouTube videos can be embedded. I've tried just adding an image and having a link back on that image for YouTube but it doesn't seem to work (see sample here http://www.onelouderdesigns.com/wordpress/?page_id=1239). Not sure how to go about this. Can you help?...Please.

   On another note. I'm not a code guru of any sort. I hope you can help me.

   Hey,
   you can embed videos by using the "embed" shortcode: http://codex.wordpress.org/Embeds

   Use the shortcode like:
   

   [embed width="123" height="456"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nTDNLUzjkpg[/embed]

   - you can also embed vimeo, etc. and you need to change the width/height values.

   Hey Dude...Thanks. I'm still having issues. I used your short-code with your video and it worked like a charm with YouTube BUT when I substitute the same info with my video it doesn't function. Same problem with Vimeo as well. I've included all my links here so you might understand where the problem lies. Don't know what I'm missing here.

   Glad that you solved it. Was it a server issue? It may be caused by a problem with the oembed protocol.
