    Nick has been helping me out with reducing the right-side margin of my blog. (Left/right margins are now asymmetrical) However, due to lack of my experience with css, I don’t seem to get things the way I need.

    Basically, I only want to reduce the right margin, and by consequence the overall width. First, in custom css, I’ve set the right margin to “0”, with the code Nick provided me:

    #main {

    padding: 40px 0 40px 0px;

    width: 100%;

    But it’s still too big, so I tried to reduce the overall width of the container. But if I do, then the sidebar disappears…

    Could you help me out?

    Thank you,

    Hi Poirot,

    We would need to see what you have now live to give any additional help.

    Hi Devin,

    Here you go:

    You’ll notice the margin is slightly wider at the right side. You can check this by looking at the distance from the dark background up to any horizontal line in the sidebar. Then compare with left side of the website.

    Thank you,

    Try to insert following css code into the quick css field

    .sidebar {
    width: 278px;

    Best regards,

    Hi Dude,

    Thank you, your code worked. I wanted to keep the sidebar at 250px, but I prefer the “right” margins. Maybe the theme was designed for specific proportions.

    Anyway, it’s solved :)
