i cannot seem the get control of my BrightBox logo URL; by default it links to blog/site home page, i want to control the logo link and point it to the home page I have instead created, I have searched extensively thru the support discussions, no good for me, tried to change the function-set-avia-frontend.php file crashed my blog – tried to change header.php – can’t find code for brightbox! Please help me perform this SIMPLE task! LOVE the theme BTW.September 5, 2011 at 12:06 am #51433
in your folder frameworkphpfunction-set-avia-frontent.php file you’ll find
$logo = "<h1 class='logo'><a href='".home_url('/')."'>".$logo."</a></h1>";
The “home_url(‘/’).” is the link you want to link to.September 6, 2011 at 1:08 pm #51434
Thanks for your help but I still have a dumb question:
so I can customize the “_url” by entering my custom page URL in this place? For example I change
a) $logo = “<h1 class=’logo’>“.$logo.”</h1>”;
b) $logo = “<h1 class=’logo’>“.$logo.”</h1>”; http://www.greenphoneservice.com/mobile-phones/home-4/
You see my problem began when I too aggressively got rid of the default homepage post that came with brightbox because I wanted another homepage menu item; in deleting this I did not realize the logo link would remain default to the homepage – so now I have my own contrived homepage and the homepage that is the default linked to by both the URL and the logo. It might just be easier for me to restore the homepage file that came with brightbox and add content to this – problem solved. Is there a way to restore this file? Can I edit/restore the default homepage post of page file somehow?
Thanks in advance for your help! GREAT theme!September 6, 2011 at 1:10 pm #51435September 7, 2011 at 7:12 pm #51436
I was just checking your site and it brought up a database error.
To link it you should try this:
$logo = "<h1 class='logo'><a href='".home_url('/mobile-phones/home-4/')."'>".$logo."</a></h1>";
Might I add it’s possible you have to adjust the other line – in this case it’d be
$logo = "<h1 class='logo bg-logo'><a href='".home_url('/mobile-phones/home-4/')."'>".$logo."</a></h1>";September 9, 2011 at 7:24 pm #51437
Hi Chris – thanks for looking in on me – I never really solved the problem BUT since I was always intending to move the blog/site to a new URL, I simply reinstalled Brightbox on new URL http://www.greenphoneservice.com/wireless and imported contents – it now works fine.
Thanks very much for your help!
