I have been looking for solutions to my problems for over a week now. I have searched the support pages over and over, and yet no solution found.
I have the Shoutbox theme installed and trying to customize the theme to my needs. Please help with the current problems I have in hand.
Problem 1. At the moment we only have Youtube videos on our pages. So on post pages, the RELATED POSTS section below content should display the “default video image”. Right?
However, all other single post pages are only showing the title below an empty space, and not the “default video image” under the RELATED POSTS section below content.
Tried everything for the above problem, with no results. The last thing I could think of is… maybe I have deleted something in myphpadmin page? Was there an entry for the RELATED POSTS?
Problem 2. All Youtube videos do seem to load while the page loads, perfect!… But, then it goes black and loads again. This kinda slows the page load time, and not sure if this has anything to do with W3 Total Cache’s Java script or CSS minify settings!?
Kind regards to all who can share their thoughts on these…December 2, 2012 at 3:49 pm #98929December 3, 2012 at 6:28 am #98930
Ok… I’ve fixed the 2nd problem.
Now just need some help with the 1st.
Is there anyone here? It has been nearly 2 days, and yet not a single reply!!December 3, 2012 at 8:07 am #98931
The related entries do not support youtube previews. You can use/upload a featured image though. If no preview image is available Shoutbox will display a placeholder image/icon.

Yes, I know that it does not support youtube preview thumbs. I want it to display a placeholder default video image, which is not working as I gave examples with links in my original post.
Just want to know how to fix the problem and display default video image for the RELATED POSTS.
Kind regardsDecember 3, 2012 at 10:06 am #98933
I’m guessing that something not right here:
//check for image or video
$image = avia_image_by_id($slides, ‘related’, ‘image’);
$image = “<span class=’related_posts_default_image related_posts_video’></span>”;

Try to add following code to css/custom.css (note that it won’t work with the quick css field):
background: url("../images/shared/video_mini.png") no-repeat scroll center center #f8f8f8;

Ok, since adding the code to css/custom.css the fetured images stopped showing on iphone and ipad.
What can be the issue now?December 5, 2012 at 4:24 am #98940
Please try using the full url
background: url("http://www.icityinfo.com/wp-content/themes/shoutbox/images/shared/video_mini.png") no-repeat scroll center center #f8f8f8;
Also I see that you are automatically adding a query string to your images for the cache. Not sure how ios6 views that practive.
Lastly Cloudflare is grumbling about something
