This may seem like a silly question, but what is the fundamental difference between a Post and a Portfolio item? Is there something I can do with one that can't be done with the other?

Hey,
basically they're both posts. Portfolio items can be displayed on portfolio overview pages like: http://www.kriesi.at/themes/brightbox/portfolio-2-columns/ whereas posts are displayed on the blog. Custom post types like the portfolio entries help you to differentiate between work, products, samples, etc and "news or personal entries" like on the blog.Posted 1 year ago #
