Hi,
The previous code fix worked great for large displays but I found the (less than 300px) problem persists on smaller form factor devices like an iPad where it crops the 300px Adsense again. Is there a custom.css change that will make 300px wide adsense ads work for both?

Hi kseibold,
Unless you can make the adsense adapt to the size of its container and be less than the 300px width I think you'll have issues at that size. Even if you get rid of the padding completely, the size of the sidebar at the 768px to 989px size frame is 218px (188px + 30px default padding-left).
