Can you please tell me what the dimensions need to be for images in these pages? Currently, I have an image that is sized to 1400×450, but when it loads it in, you can see for a split second that the text on the image is sharp but then goes blurry.

In the themes functions.php file there is a list of all thumbnail sizes the theme creates to use in the theme. For this page it uses the featured size which is the 1400×450. It then gets downscaled to fit the area on that page but on a full size slider it wouldn’t be.
With a responsive theme however you will never get an image that is exactly a specific size since the container its in and the image is always adapting to the screen size. So there isn’t one specific size an image will always be,
