I searched for this and I didn’t find it… I want to add a featured image in the “Video Tutorials” page so I can put this featured image in rhe frontpage as a column to link it to the Video Tutorials Page, but then I don’t want it to appear on the Video Tutorials page.
I don’t know if this can be possible or I need to create a Text Widget in the frontpage and code build what I’m trying to do. I already did this with other pages, but I was wondering to do it without coding :)
You can remove the featured image from single post pages. Open up wp-contentthemesabundanceincludesloop-index.php and replace
if($sliderHTML && is_single())
It worked for the “— Blog (left Sidebar, small preview images)” but “— Video Tutorials” and “— Gallery” remain the same.
I seems it works for Blog parent but not for Template parent…. that is, on Dynamic Templates. I searched for “if($sliderHTML)” bit I only found it on loop-index.php as you told me… any suggestion?
Thanks… and regards ;)
I dont really understand what you are trying to do. You are writing as though I am a frequent visitor but I don’t even have the site’s url.
Gallery and Video Tutorials are Pages and are children of Templates which is also a Page. You want to disable images so they don’t show up twice? What if you don’t include an image in gallery and Video tutorials and then simply add it with a link to the Templates page? Because Posts show the image on their archives, but pages don’t have an archive, and may have a parent. Can you provide a url please so we can understand better what you are trying to do.
