    Hi,
I would like to ask you for an approach to team work with Enfold.

When developers work on their local installations of WP and Enfold how would you solve the issue with merging databases of each developer into staging/production environment?

Is there any github-like solution to this?

    Thank you,

    Kind regards
    M

    Hey Mariusz,

I can’t really answer that question because i’ve never encountered that situation. Try searching for “database control version”.

    Best regards,
    Josue

    Hi Josue,
Thank you for your answer. But I can’t believe that anyone of those thousands of developers working with enfold is not using it in a group?

There’s no solution to merge databases and I don’t think it’s a proper approach to this.

Maybe there’s another solution for working in a team with Enfold or other Enfold-helpers have an experience with that?

What if there is a draft environment and everyone is connected to the same database…

Could you please ask @kriesi about this?

    Thank you.

    Hi,

I’m not sure if I’ve understood your question correctly but collaborating on Enfold should not be any different from working with any other theme. Are you using Github for version control/branching etc?

    Regards,
    Rikard

    Hi Rikard,
Sure I am working with github.
How would you approach to version control of changes made in certain pages? There’s no version control for shortcode changes in the database. In Enfold you are working on admin panel, not files so I cannot fix it.
HAve you got any idea how to use it?

    Best,
    Mariusz

    Hi,

You could use WordPress Revisions or a plugin like this.

    Best regards,
    Josue

Thanks Josue, I’ll try with versionpress then.
