Hello,
Please help with my EnFold bug. I keep having content deleted anytime I make an edit. I have done all the normal troubleshooting (increasing memory limits, disabling pluggins, updating pluggins, etc.). Most recently I have also tried scanning for html markup that was left open – this might exist somewhere on the page, but I didn’t see it. The only thing that has helped is switching themes. This leads me to strongly suspect that something is wrong with the EnFold theme. Please help, my homepage has most of the content missing as a result of this bug.

Thanks for experimenting with it. The change you made actually did cause all of the content that was below the video to be deleted. You may not have noticed because it now matches the homepage, which also has all of that content deleted. I will grab another generate a new, clone of the full content so you can see what I am talking about. I have also included steps to replicate the problem.

If that page has many different elements inside, can you try a smaller one, with 1-2 elements to tell us if it works please?

BasilisI am sorry I cannot give you a smaller page. This is the main idea of the problem. The EnFold theme starts deleting content on some pages after I have been editing and building them for a while. It is not consistent across all pages, but it is specific to EnFold. Neither I nor WordPress support have been able to identify what is going on with EnFold that is causing it to delete content on this page and would love your help.

Thanks for the feedback, I think the video might be the problem here. What happens if you delete only that element?
We are well aware of the problems with the builder, usually it’s due to open HTML markup, but that doesn’t seem to be the case here.

I gave you admin credentials and your own cloned page so that you could have everything you needed to troubleshoot this EnFold bug. I also went through all of the steps your team highlighted in the forums and worked with WordPress support to verify that it is indeed an EnFold bug. I have now created a second cloned page for you to use in troubleshooting (please see link below). Please make changes and then PREVIEW them to see if they work. Please do not save or publish – the bug will delete your content if you do. I would appreciate your help in making your product work as expected.

P.S. The video is not the problem. I tried deleting the video and EnFold still deletes all of the content below it.

RikardI see that you added the word hello in a text box as a test and that is not self-deleting. However, All of the other content is gone that should be below the video is gone. Switching the slash in strong doesn’t seem to fix the bug within EnFold.

I am having the same issues. Whenever I make further edits to the Columns within a Colour Section, it either deletes the entire content below, or changes all the text on that page to bold.
Luckily, I autosave and can restore previous versions. But cannot continue editing further in that colour section without causing more issues. I will start my own thread, but just wanted to contribute I’m having a similar issue.

Thanks for the feedback, so what happens when you add more content to the page after your faulty markup was corrected? I corrected the code, then added more content, and nothing disappeared.

1. I make ANY edit to my homepage.
2. The Enfold theme deletes MOST of the content on the page.
3. I keep making edits.
4. Enfold doesn’t immediately delete more content.You are correct about steps 3 and 4. I’d have to keep making edits before Enfold started wiping out my progress again. This is a really nasty bug. Do you have any solutions for Enfold deleting content?

I did open another ticket and my issue was resolved by adding the .
However, I swear that I had added that when I originally wrote that section, and it disappeared. But either way, it is working and the issue is resolved for me now.

Yes thank you so much, please do the contact4 page. Please let me know if it is something I forgot or didn’t do? easy fix??
Also try making edits a few times and updating sometimes it take 3 or 4 times before it deletes page information.Thank you

Thanks for that, I got the same problem when editing that page. It’s likely due to open html markup on your page. The first Special Heading for instance:
Contact <strong>If you remove the strong tag it should likely work as expected after that. If you should have this problem in the future then please look for unclosed html markup like you had on the page.

Please see Contacts page name ,, “Contact3 — Draft” . I have tried what Rikard has sugguested and it makes everything dissapper immediatley. If you could like at the Contact3 — Draft — publish it and try to make additions or changes you will see what I am trying to explain.

It disappears because the strong tag you had after Contact was still open, it wasn’t removed. I removed it now and everything works after it has been removed. Your text after the first section disappeared though. Could you try adding it again please?

KikiIf I try and edit an older page with HTML markup, there is no content in the editor.
If I try and edit a simple older page, the Update button does not save and I’m brought back to the Posts page.
I can create a new post/page ok.
I have tried disabling all plugins, but only if I switch to a different theme does any content show up for our home page in the editor – but does not display at all correctly on public side so really need Enfold to work.
can we downgrade back to older version? It was working fine.
