I uploaded the Enfold theme into WP, and now I cannot access website or login to wordpress.

The error now states, “Fatal error: Declaration of avia_sc_comments_list::shortcode_handler() must be compatible with that of aviaShortcodeTemplate::shortcode_handler() in /home/content/18/7642218/html/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/comments.php on line 14”

I cannot login or access WP at all.

    Hi,

Please contact your hosting provider and ask them to upgrade PHP version, optimally to PHP7. It should be minimum 5.6. That should fix the issue :)

Having them do this now. It states they are using 5.6.

    Hey!

If you would like us to check the version, please post FTP and WP admin logins here privately :)

    Best regards,

Thanks. Correction: they are updating it now to 5.6 now. I need to upgrade services to have 7. I am doing this for a client and they picked GoDaddy as their host, they nickel and dime everything. They said it will take 24 hours for the update to take place.

    Hey!

5.6 is the minimum recommended PHP version to use on WordPress so it should work fine without needing to upgrade it to 7. Your website would work when updating is complete. If you would like to revert to an older version, i attached Enfold 4.0.7 in private content field. You can simply overwrite theme files via FTP – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/
