    Hi,
I’ve tried this a couple of times now (probably 5) and the enfold.zip file does not want to upload to WordPress. I purchased Enfold because I was under the impression that it is easy to install for newbies, yet I can’t get it to work. I’ve downloaded the “Installable WordPress file only” three times from Envato as well now and still nothing. The child theme uploads and installs, but not the parent.
First I tried via WordPress in my site’s admin – dashboard – tools – import but then I get the following message
    Import WordPress
Sorry, there has been an error.
File is empty. Please upload something more substantial. This error could also be caused by uploads being disabled in your php.ini or by post_max_size being defined as smaller than upload_max_filesize in php.ini.

Okay, so obviously that was wrong, so then I tried on the WordPress network admin panel – theme – add new – upload theme… And still no luck. That message:
Are you sure you want to do this?

Please try again.” And so I have three more times, each time downloading the enfold.zip from themeforest and trying again…

Trying FTP is also an issue. Inside Filezilla, my live server folders are empty (says Empty directory), so can’t place Enfold inside the WP theme folder.
When going through my cPanel, under my public_html folder through File manager, I can in fact find the relevant WP_content – theme folder, so naturally I uploaded and extracted the enfold.zip there. Now all the enfold files and folders shows up, but it has no effect when I go to my WordPress site. Under themes, it still doesn’t show. In Filezilla, it also doesn’t show.

As WP newbie, this is very frustrating, especially when I thought this is a simple upload and install theme.

    Please help!

I have no idea where I went wrong…unless it’s a problem with the Enfold wordpress zip folder…

    Cheers,
    Willem

    Hey Willem!

Please contact your service provider and show them this error “Import WordPress
Sorry, there has been an error.
File is empty. Please upload something more substantial. This error could also be caused by uploads being disabled in your php.ini or by post_max_size being defined as smaller than upload_max_filesize in php.ini.”
They should increase the values to solve the issue.

    Best regards,
    Yigit
