Hello,

I would like to make 'messages' not a required field and remove the * from the title

Hi,

Go to Theme Options > Contact. Look for the Form Element Label named "Message", on the Form Element Validation select "No Validation". Is not empty means required.

It should just be a matter of adding the colon in the label field in the Contact options.
