    Hi,

    Could I please get some advise in regards to customising the below style elements?

    1. I am having issues applying the googlefonts to the front page (font is showing on all other pages).

    2. Include a search bar within the top logo/menu bar (not in the sidebar).

    3. Reducing the padding height within the text area container under the logo/menu container.

    4. Reducing the size of the font under each of the portfolio entries (what header is assigned to these description titles: h1a…? As I need to change the font as well)

    5. Creating a portfolio within a portfolio ie. For each portfolio item there is another sub-category with a final single portfolio page off of each.

    6. Adding the sidebar to the second portfolio (i.e.. Creating a side menu navigation to the previous primary portfolio).

    7. Organise the portfolio entries in a specific order.

    8. Add a map within each of the single page portfolio entries.

    9. Removing items showing in the sidebar.

    Cheers in advance!

    Hi,

    Sorry for the delay my fault, having some major power issues.

    i am answering em one at a time now so hold on…

    1. I tested fonts. They work on frontpage. My idea is that maybe you aren’t defining your homepage correctly. Is this how you have this page setup regarding homepage http://www.clipular.com/c?7903100=Qqrx4wLhWnEStFzHDuVAORWu-Hs&f=.png and is this how this page in Settings > Reading looks ? http://www.clipular.com/c?7902083=KnXeE5gqGkKzMMnhg2mAM8wVkns&f=.png .. Are you using Jetbpack plugin by any chance? if so deactivate.

    2. Include a search bar within the top logo/menu bar (not in the sidebar).

    http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-add-search-form-in-your-post-with-a-wordpress-search-shortcode/ Follow this tutorial. Add the code to the end of functions.php file in main theme folder. then you will need to open up header.php (in same folder) and add the following code below somewhere in there towards the end on line 190 or 192 or 194

    <?php echo do_shortcode('[wpbsearch]'); ?>

    3. Reducing the padding height within the text area container under the logo/menu container.

    need to see url, since addition of search will invalidate css. please provide url (you can hide it inside http://www.goo.gl)

    4. Reducing the size of the font under each of the portfolio entries (what header is assigned to these description titles: h1a…? As I need to change the font as well)

    Please show url on demo what you are referring to, http://www.kriesi.at/themes/eunoia/

    Do you mean portfolio entries that are in ajax (open on same page as the main portfolio archive) or the entries that open in a new url from the archive? Please try this css , add it to /css/custom.css OR to Quick CSS

    #top.single-portfolio .main-title {
    font-size: 3.3em;
    font-family: Verdana;
    }

    5. Creating a portfolio within a portfolio ie. For each portfolio item there is another sub-category with a final single portfolio page off of each.

    Ok. You would first need to create all the 2nd level portfolios. For example first level would be a portfolio of different animals with categories: bites, doesnt bite, domesticated, not domesticated with animals, dog, lion, cow, crocodile. if someone clicks on dog they get a portfolio of different stories about dogs (or lions, or cows) but this time sorted by funny story, sad story, amazing story etc… So person would first sort 1st level to pick type of animal he wants to read story about (domesiticated or bites) and then on 2nd level pick if story about animal that doesn’t bite (gold fish) and see 30 stories about only goldfish and sort by funny and see 5 stories about goldfish that are funny.]

    You first need to built the 2nd level. so you would built a portfolio of goldfish stories, then a portfolio of dog stories. basically you built 1 different portfolio for every single animal that is in the 1st level. So now you will have 8 (lets say) portfolios since you will have 8 animals in 1st level. Then you built the One first level portfolio and on each portfolio item when you add the dog, or cat you would add the image ( http://www.clipular.com/c?7904112=zCUVS7t3EfYZa-RT_x2e-KvNxf0&f=.png ) and then change where Apply Link to Image takes visitor (see image before). So now you would link that image from first level not to the portfolio item but to the 2nd level portfolio page for that item. (see image).

    Once you grasp the concept its quite easy , just not easy to describe.

    6. Adding the sidebar to the second portfolio (i.e.. Creating a side menu navigation to the previous primary portfolio).

    Currently not available without modification.

    7. Organise the portfolio entries in a specific order.

    Please use this plugin to order http://wordpress.org/plugins/post-types-order/

    8. Add a map within each of the single page portfolio entries.

    Please use this plugin and add the shortcode for the map into the portfolio item content area (where you write the content description of each portfolio item) http://wordpress.org/plugins/codepeople-post-map/

    9. Removing items showing in the sidebar.

    Please show on demo or take a screen capture but better yet do that and still provide url. If you mean widgets, take them off in Appearance > widgets.

    Cheers in advance!

    Nick
