Hello, Is their a way to exclude pages from the site search in the Theme?

Also can I add an addendum to the above question, how can I change the sidebar in the Search Result Page?

1) You can use plugins like http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/relevanssi/ - it allows you to exclude certain pages from the search.

2) You can use widget logic: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/widget-logic/ to display certain widgets on the search page. Add the widgets to the "Displayed Everywhere" area and add following condition:
```
is_search()
```
into the widget logic field.
