If you have troubles since the update to WordPress 4.5 please read this post before opening a new thread.
I was able to fix the title’s error yesterday (as you could see). Not such if I was the only one that had the issue. I had to grab the code from the category page for the gallery (archive) and use that and it fixed it.
Now I’m wondering how I can exclude certain categories from home homepage. I thought that was a feature someplace, but I can’t seem to find it.
I want to be able to have all the “featured” images on the homepage and have a separate blog area that’s just dedicated to that area.
you can select the gallery categories under Expose Options > Gallery Options (all post within other categories get basic blog-layout)
I did this, but the blog still shows up on the homepage. I was hoping that have the truly blog entries excluded from the gallery layout of the homepage and just have them accessible via the blog link in the navigation.
strange behaviour. Normally ALL posts within other categories get basic blog-layout and just the “gallery category” should be displayed on the mainpage. Please create an admin account and send me the login info to (Email address hidden if logged out) – I’ll have a look at it.
Haven’t hard back from you yet.
What I would like to do is operate the featured photos separate from the blog. What I would like the blog to do is pull certain categories and not have those posts displayed on the homepage. If you look at my current site I created a test post, it shows up on the homepage gallery page when I don’t want it to.
