    Howdy,

First of all – great template! I’ve been pretty focused on using Joomla for the past couple of years and have just started looking into WordPress again. What a pleasant surprise to find such a sleek style :) Just in the process of re-learning how to utilize WP.

I tried looking to see if this was already answered, but didn’t see anything…

I’m hoping to add specific widgets to specific portfolio items… but is seems as though the portfolio categories aren’t associated with the single Categories… and my portfolio postings aren’t necessarily specific pages… so when I try to do it via the Sidebar & Footer panel – no love for me.

Is there a way to add individual sidebar widgets to individual portfolio posts?

As a side note – I did find this post:

    http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/widgets-problem#post-21

Which works great for placing a widget that appears on ALL portfolio posts… but what I’m hoping to achieve is to place specific widgets on each different individual portfolio post.

    For example:

    Portfolio post #1 – text widget #1

    Portfolio post #2 – text widget #2

    etc

    etc

    Thanks!

You could use the Widget Logic plugin to do this.

The individual portfolio pages use the single.php template so an example code you could use for the widget could be:

    is_single('99')

for a post with the ID of 99.
