    i’ve been using this theme for quite some time with no issues. i love it.

    today though, i tried to upload the featured image for the post and instead of a thumbnail of the image uploading, the video reel image came up. of course, the homepage doesn’t show the image either, but an output of code where the image should be: http://www.health-bent.com/%3Cimg%20width=%22100%22%20height=%22100%22%20src=%22http:/www.health-bent.com/wp-content/uploads/bite3-150×150.jpg%22%20class=%22attachment-100×100%22%20alt=%22bite%22%20title=%22bite%22%20/%3E

    the image itself is:http://www.health-bent.com/wp-content/uploads/bite3.jpg, but if you notice in the string above, it’s outputting http:/

    i don’t know why this is happening all of a sudden, i haven’t changed anything.

    i’ve unpublished the post b/c it’s not working.

    Hey! would you mind publishing the post once again so I can take a look at it?

    Regards,

    I get the reel image sometimes when the featured post hasn’t saved properly into the post. Sometimes it happens when you insert it directly from the upload or if you upload too many images at once into the library. Try deleting the reel image from inside the dashboard, reconnecting it from the library and saving the post again.

    republished.

    when i look in the library, it says the image is attached to the post ‘avia_logo’ which, when clicked, goes to a post under avia framework. i moved the post to the trash, but now i can’t get back to it.

    looks like the image file has the correct path now though.

    would you mind sending me your login credentials via the contact form here so I can take a look at it myself?

    just wondering if there’s any update on the issue?

    i’ve deleted any new plugins i installed, but the issue remains.

    the world’s not going to come to an end or anything, i just need to be able to post again, as soon as possible. thanks again.

    i’ve downgraded my wordpress from 3.3.1 to 3.3 and that didn’t help the situation. would you at least let me know if you’re trying to figure this out, or am i on my own, b/c this is becoming a big problem.

    Hey!

    Please have a look at this post: http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/image-tags-missing#post-32207 – you can deactivate this behaviour (images won’t be attached to the hidden post anymore).

    changed the code in htmlhelper.php. the video reel still appears. though now, when i go to the media library, the image says it’s attached to the correct post, but it’s still outputting the weird code:

    this is the latest post:

    <div class=’post-entry ‘>

    <div class=’ preloading autoslide_false autoslidedelay__5 slideshow_page default slideshow_container’><ul class=’slideshow’ style=’height: 200px; width: 620px;’><li class=’featured featured_container1′ >” />"bite"</div>

    the older post, below it, that works and renders correctly:

    <div class=’post-entry ‘>

    <div class=’ preloading autoslide_false autoslidedelay__5 slideshow_page default slideshow_container’><ul class=’slideshow’ style=’height: 200px; width: 620px;’><li class=’featured featured_container1′ ></div>

    the image from both posts are the same exact dimensions.

    something i just tried:

    i tried to attach the featured image by manually pasting the image link via the ‘url’ tab. it actually showed the thumbnail of the image, but when i update the post, it goes back to the image reel picture.

    so now the code just outputs:

    <div class=’ preloading autoslide_false autoslidedelay__5 slideshow_page default slideshow_container’><ul class=’slideshow’ style=’height: 200px; width: 620px;’><li class=’featured featured_container1′ >http://www.health-bent.com/wp-content/uploads/bite5.jpg</div>

    Hey! I have checked the form now several times and I really cant tell why this is happening. Once the “insert as feature image” button is pressed (after you have uploaded/selected the image) the lightbox should send the ID of an image to the gallery.

    What is happening on on your installation instead is that the img url and not the image id is sent to the gallery. When I added the ID manually with the help of firebug to the html source code and saved the page it worked fine, so I guess something is interfering with the javascript of the theme that sends the image IDs.

    Long story short: this could be a plugin issue. would you mind disabling your plugins one by one and checking if its then possible to normally add images? if one of them is interfering this is the safest way to find which one…

    i just deactivated every single plugin, tried to re-upload a photo and it didn’t fix anything.

    i’ve a support ticket in with my host company…they recently had some hacking going on, so maybe they changed something?

    in the meantime, is it possible you could explain how you ‘patched’ the error, so i can continue to do the same until i resolve the issue?

    thanks for the help.

    Could also be the case. Another question: did you modify any of the framework folders php files? I guess not but just want to make sure :)

    Unfortunately this approach is really really hackish: first you need to open the stylsheet located in:

    http://www.health-bent.com/wp-content/themes/health-bent/framework/css/avia_admin.css

    then change

    .avia_advanced_upload .avia_upload_input {
    display: none;
    }

    to

    .avia_advanced_upload .avia_upload_input {
    display: block;
    }

    When you open the single post editor now you will notice an additional input field, not very well aligned. Into this field you need to enter the ID of the image you want to use.

    To find the image id open the media tab and place your mouse above the “edit” link of an item. the url of that item will appear then and you will be able to see the attachment id (1181 in this screen) add this number to the input field and then save the post.

    nope, no changes.

    with the edits–everything “works” now, so i’ll take it. much appreciated.

    Hey!

    ok. I ll kkeep my eye open if other people are encountering this too, maybe with a little more data we are able to fix the issue

    Best regards,

    Kriesi
