I bought the Habitat theme from TF approximately one year ago for the website http://www.goodgirlgonegreen.com. For the past 2 weeks, when I upload an image to a post on my website, the thumbnail will not appear on the homepage unless the post in scheduled in advance.
When I set the featured image in the backend of WP, I see the image sets successfully as featured image/ However, when I update the post and try to save it, the featured image in the widget on right side disappears. Therefore, if any changes need to be made to the post, the image will not appear once the post has been updated.
No plugins or wordpress versions have been updated. Concerning the theme, nothing has been altered. I asked the host company to verify the logs and they have confirmed twice that there are no errors to report from their end. They believe it may have something to do with the theme.
I’m unable to fix this problem and don’t know where the issue is. Therefore I would appreciate some support with this problem.
Thank you for you help!May 7, 2012 at 5:38 am #70070
Firebug shows me that the plugin “slideshow-gallery” triggers some errors. I’d also try to update the theme and WordPress.

Thank you for your response. I tried deactivating the “slideshow-gallery” plugin and then setting up the featured image again, but that didn’t help. The featured image disappears when I update the post in admin. Hence, doesn’t show up on homepage.May 8, 2012 at 4:24 pm #70072
Hey Peter, any suggestions on what should be done? – if I need to update the theme, which files I exactly needs to update? – I have made lots of modifications in the theme files?May 10, 2012 at 5:18 pm #70073
Have there been any updates to your server at all? Its a bit odd that it just all of a sudden started acting differently.
You can see what files have been changed in the version.rtf that comes in the zip that you download from Themeforest and then ftp up those files specifically if you want to try updating.

Thank you for your response. I will verify with the hosting company if they have made updates to the server. I will try to download the updated theme and check the version.rtf to see what updates has been made to the theme. And will also try to update the current theme accordingly. I will post here what turns up after making these updates :)
