I have a website with version 1.7 of this theme on it that won’t save the featured images for the woocomerce products so, I upgraded the theme to version 2.3 and now the product pages/ archive aren’t showing properly. When I switch it back to the 1.7 version they show fine and on the 2.3 they don’t. I’m using woocomerce 1.6August 7, 2013 at 5:27 am #133278
I think that flashlight 2.3 is compatible with woocommerce 2.0+ . If you have windows, the easiest thing to do is install the free http://www.winmerge.org and compare the folder with 1.7 to the folder with the 2.3 theme and then carefully merge only the code that is independent of the Woocommerce folder within the theme. This way you will get all the 2.3 functionality except you will get to keep the original 1.7 Woocommerce functionality.

I’m having the same issue. My featured images disappear immediately after hitting upload…. I have a mac. will this get fixed in an update?August 17, 2013 at 3:56 pm #133280
We are getting to the bottom of the since I am not able to replicate it, but I don’t have a Mac. Kriesi is on top of it, please hang in a bit longer. if you have a screen cast of the problem (video of screen) please provide a link since that will help out enormously.

Do you have a work email I can use to share the video I made for you guys? I was going to use dropbox, or is there another way you would like me to submit it?August 19, 2013 at 2:27 am #133282August 21, 2013 at 1:24 am #133283
I just updated everything and I’m having the same problem. This client’s website is down now because of all of this and they are losing sales.August 21, 2013 at 1:44 am #133284August 21, 2013 at 1:46 am #133285
I’ve upgraded to 3.6 and updated the theme to 2.4.1 and updated woocommerce to the latest versionAugust 21, 2013 at 8:16 pm #133286
Flashlight doesn’t use the featured image field of WordPress. Instead it takes the first image from the featured media (the slideshow) and makes that the featured image used to represent the product/page/portfolio item/posts.

Ok, so to clarify the problem. The Featured images among my woocommerse products are not showing up. I am up to date with everything and this video shows the process I take in order to try to make the product image appear. Please let me know if you wish for more video’s of something specific.August 26, 2013 at 1:38 pm #133288
The green button under the visual editor that says “Add Image to slideshow” is where you need to choose your product image and all images associated with the product that you want the theme to then output on the front end. This includes the background slider, product image etc.
