    Hi,

    Is there a way to fix the header of the Shoutbox theme, so that the header and the main menu always stay on the screen as we scroll down the pages (like Facebook’s header does)?

    Here is the website : http://www.labasesecrete.fr/blog/

    Hey,

    You can try this:

    #header {
    position: fixed;
    }

    #main {
    margin-top: 190px;
    }

    Regards,

    Ismael

    Thanks, it works perfectly!

    I have one final query regarding the main menu : I used your piece of code in order to enlarge the “Oeuvres” submenu but it does reduce the space between my two upper links in the “Naoki Urasawa” submenu” (the two identical pictures are “sticked” together”) : how can I produce some space between them without enlarging this particular submenu?

    Edit : actually I have the same problem with the larger submenu (“Oeuvres”) : when I put long sentences in the textblock area, they get “sticked” to the next link… there is no spacing at all.

    Hi!

    I’d suggest to increase the menu item width – use following css code

    #top .main_menu .avia_mega div ul li {
    width: 190px;
    }

    Best regards,

    Peter

    It does solve my problem in the first submenu (“Naoki Urasawa”) but it causes another issue with the second one (“Oeuvres”) since my three links/pictures by row are misplaced and there is only two links by row along with a big blank on the right side…

    Also, to get back to the fixed header, is there a way to fix only the main menu? So that when you scroll down the header disappears but the main menu stays all along (as it does here : http://www.lefigaro.fr/)

    Hi Drucci,

    For that kind of customization you would need to look into a freelance developer. It will probably take some custom javascript similar to what is done with Enfold’s fixed header.

    For the menus, I think removing:

    .main_menu .avia_mega3{width: 618px;
    }

    and

    #top .main_menu .avia_mega div ul li {
    width: 190px;
    }

    and

    #top .main_menu .avia_mega div ul li {width: 168px; padding:15px;
    }

    Will allow everything to just space out properly.

    Regards,

    Devin

    Unfortunately I can’t afford a freelance developer since my website is solely made by volunteer work and I don’t get any revenue from it. But thanks for the hint!

    Thank you, also, for the .css bits I had to remove : now it spaces out properly.
