I’m working in a site with Flashlight template, which is great :-)

I am using also the plugin from Pento:

I can confirm that once the plugin is activated, the permalink for portfolio items is not working at all.

This is my current permalink structure in WP: /%category%/%postname%-%post_id%/

Also using Yoast seo plugin, but this seems not to interfere.

Can somebody please test? Am I the only with this problem? I really need portfolio items and Job Manager working in the same site…

Any help would be really appreciated. Thank you!!

I haven’t tested the plugin but maybe you need to flush the permalinks. Go to Settings > Permalinks and click on “Save”. Then reload/refresh the permalink settings page.

    Best regards,

Thank you, but I have done this and I can confirm that when I activate Job Manager, the url for portfolio entries doesn’t work.

Can you please check? Thank you.

Hey! Unfortunately I am not sure why this happens, seems to be an incompatibility with the theme (although it should work fine from what I can tell)

Only thing I can suggest for now is to contact the plugin author and ask him if he came accross a similar issue with other themes, maybe he can help on this:

    Best regards

    Hello Kriesi,

I have contacted Gary directly. Thank you very much.

    Hi xoxo,

Thanks for the update. Be sure to report back if you find a resolution with the plugin author as it might help someone else with the same issue down the line :)

    Thank you,

I haven’t received any answer from Gary.

Seems there is an incompatibility in how this plugin handles permalinks for categories, and how this theme also handle the same elements.

Is there any hope to get a solution for this from the Kriesi support team?

I REALLY need this plugin to work with this template…

    Hi xoxo,

Probably not. I’ll ask Kriesi to take a look again but we don’t really have the ability to devout that much time with one specific plugin. Your best bet if its that vital is to look into a freelance wordpress developer. They should be able to figure it out and provide a fix.
