    Hi,

I have two languages running on the site, English and Chinese. How can I have the footer columns including widget titles display different contents in correspondence to different languages? I found it only displays English contents and the widget title always shows what you put in and there is no option to enter different text/title for different languages.

    Thanks,

    Thank you, Yigit.

This is what I am trying do, I need to add links to different pages (FAQs, How to, Blog, privacy policy etc. ) to one of the footer columns. I used sub-menu to achieve this, added bunch of pages to a sub-menu, added a custom menu widget to one of the footer columns and then selected sub-menu from the custom menu widget. This works flawlessly in one language, let’s say English. However, for the Chinese version of the site, it only shows the main menu which is the default menu. There is no way for me to choose or define which menu to display for Chinese site because I could only choose one sub-menu to display.

Maybe there is a better way to achieve what I am trying to do? I just need to have links to different pages displayed in different version of footers.

    Thanks a bunch!

    Hi yukanl,

Did you try using the Widget logic plugin like Peter suggested here: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/wpml-translation-for-widgets-that-displayed-in-the-footer#post-137095?

    Regards,

    Devin

    Hi Devin,

In my case, the custom menu widget would only display English menus and sub-menus. However, after I saved the settings, Chinese menus appeared as options but English ones were gone. I know it sounds really weird but that’s what happened. Anyway, it’s displaying correct contents now.

    Thanks,
