I am creating a french website.

When I try to use a french accent like “é” in a title (page. blog, widget) it does not display on the page, even if I use the the HTML code é

What is the fix or workaround please?

Prompt response appreciated, my website is supposed to go live in 2 days.

Maybe the default cufon font doesn’t support this character. Navigate to the wp-contentthemescleancutjs folder and rename quicksand.font.js to quicksand.font.js.bak and quicksand_all.font.js to quicksand.font.js

    It seems to work. Thanks.

    What does this workaround do?

    What is the side effect?

The standard quicksand.font.js does not include all characters (subsetting to reduce the file size). The disadvantage is that characters like ê or ö, ä, etc are missing. quicksand_all.font.js contains all quicksand font characters but the file size is bigger.

    Hi there,

I have the same issue as Gevrey but I can’t locate the quicksand.font file in the wordpress files on my server. Any ideas about that?
