When you visit the domain you get a white screen with the word ‘testing’, that is it.

If you go to domain.com/home you get the website and everything is fine, you can navigate through the website as normal. As soon as you click on the logo to go back to the url you get the white screen that says ‘testing’.

I deactivated all of the plugins to see if one of them were in testing mode and also checked them individually and still have the same problem.

I have tried to switch the frontage settings to another page and still have the problem.

I made sure the settings>reading>your latest posts is checked and it was.

I went to endfold frontpage settings and changed it to select a page and then went to settings>reading> and made the home page the static page and still have the problem.

    I am running 3.2.2 with WP 4.2.4.

I have no idea what else I can try, any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Hey Micheal0424!

Can you test if your ftp folder includes a index.html file?

    http://theoceanismyguru.com/index.html

It seems to exist and the server reads it first

    Thanks a lot

    Cheers!

Okay, I found the index.html file using filezilla for FTP access.

I changed the name of the file to see if that worked and it did.

So I can delete that file now and it won’t hurt anything?

I am not sure how that file got there but it is the issue.

Thank you so much for such a fast response, you are a life saver!!

    Hi,

You should be able to safely delete that file yes, an html file shouldn’t be in a WordPress installation anyway unless it’s a readme file :-)

    Best regards,
