Hi,

I’ve tried to create a full width button with a “Set Manually” link to my email address. When I include mailto:”myemailaddress”, it brings me to my email client, but includes the “mailto:” in the Send To: field. When I remove the mailto: in the configuration for the button, after I update the page it gives me a whole bunch of code in the description box and bugs it all up making the button unusable. Is there a solution for this?

Thanks

Hey jayceepho,

I couldn’t see a full width button in your link, did you remove it? Please send us a temporary admin login so that we can have a closer look. You can post the details in the Private Content section of your reply.

Best regards,
Rikard

I didn’t want to add the button in considering I have people visiting the site and don’t want them to see that button. I’ve included my credentials, if you could try to add it n and see for yourself that’d be great

Hey!

we need a link showing the elements in question. Please create a test site for us to show us the issue. Then we can inspect the elements for you and hopefully find a solution for you. Let us know when you are ready.

Regards,
Andy

Okay, I’ve included the button. If you go to my homepage, you’ll find the link at the bottom before the social media buttons.

Thanks

Hi,

That button doesn’t have a link at all? Please provide us with a temporary admin login so that we can take a closer look. You can post the details in the Private Content section of your reply.

1) I make the button, customize it, add my mail tag.
2) I Update my page.
3) I refresh my website. All is good until I go back to edit my page.
4) I make some other edits to the text on the same page, and when I update, the button link glitches and gives me some wonky info.

It’s like the settings don’t stay after I update my page

Hi,

You have this in the description:

' link_target='' icon_select='no' icon='ue800' font='entypo-fontello' custom_font='#ffffff' color='theme-color' custom_bg='#444444' color_hover='theme-color-subtle' custom_bg_hover='#444444']

It looks like a mix of html, javascript and shortcode. What’s the purpose of it?

Thanks,
Rikard

That’s the thing. I didn’t add it in or anything. After I update my page then go back to the button element, it shows all of that. It’s like my button configurations don’t save afterwards…

Hi,

Ok, I see what you mean now, I should have read your initial post again. I can’t reproduce it on my local installation though, could you try to disable all plugins to see if one of them is causing a conflict? Also, could you upgrade our user to admin please?

Regards,
Rikard

I’ve tried to deactivate all the plugins but the problem still occurs.

I’ve also changed your user to Admin.

Let me know if theres anything else

Hey!

This is the same as the issue here: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/contact-form-resetting-to-defaults/#post-391712

SOLUTION:

1. Create a page rule for -> mysite.com/wp-admin/*

2. Turn OFF -> Security Email Obfuscation, Server Side Excludes and Web Application Firewall

Regards,
Ismael
