I’m disappointed how the option to link to an internal page on a fullscreen slider button has apparently been removed since 2.6. I have no idea why you would remove this, but I sure don’t see the logic of allowing only a fixed URL. Especially if it IS still possible if you add the link on the image instead of the button(s) and that it was possible before.

Why has this been removed? Was it a mistake? Can it be added again, or can I add it again to avoid having to wait for the next update?
The link on my homepage(!) stopped working because of this!!

    Hey DavyE!

The option is still there. Please reconfigure the fullscreen slider images then look for “Apply a link or buttons to the slide?” > select “Attach one button”. You can also add two buttons if you want. If you want to open the link on a new window, look for “Button 1 Link Target?”, same goes with the second button.

    Cheers!

Not for me, it isn’t. The reason why I noticed the button option is missing was because the button on my homepage stopped working after the update. I thought I had to redo some settings just like with the header settings, but it turned out the option is just missing altogether. Screenshots below (by the way, it would be very helpful to be able to upload screenshots through this forum).

    Hey!

You can still apply a link to an internal page with the url to that page.

    Cheers!

Why would I want to do that? Why use fixed url’s when WordPress offers the ability to select a page to link to so the link doesn’t break when that page url changes? Why would I use a primitive fixed url if the fullscreen slider always allowed it and now it’s suddenly gone. Not only that, but it’s ONLY gone for buttons, it still works for a link on the image.

Ultimately its up to Kriesi and he has been tagged on the topic.

    Hi!

this is because of a limitation in the framework that I was not able to fix yet. Each Modal window currently only allows a single “linkpicker”. Adding multiple ones unfortunately messes things up and fixing the whole thing will take at least 1-2 days. Its on the todo list but there are a lot of issues and requests with higher priority so right now you will have to do with a simple text input field.

    Sorry for that

    Regards,
    Kriesi
