   i have inserted a gallery into portfolio items....insert slideshow at top of entry....

   however as im using a mix of landscape and portrait images, everytime they change the page content below gets shifted up/down...

   is there a way to crop these so they dont shift, or set a min height for the slideshow or something??

   OK, so i can change the Gallery layout to "wordpress default gallery inserted...."

   however is there a way to include the gallery at the top of the post and not the bottom??

   Yes - open up includes/loop-index.php and replace:

   if(is_single() && strpos($avia_config['layout'],'thumb') !== false )
   					{
   							echo "<div class='hr_invisible '></div>";
   							new avia_embed_images();
   					}
   					else if(! is_single())

   with:

   if(! is_single())

   Afterwards replace:

   if(is_single()) $titleClass = $avia_config['layout'];

   with:

   if(is_single()) $titleClass = $avia_config['layout'];
   					//embeded thumb gallery
   					if(is_single() && strpos($avia_config['layout'],'thumb') !== false )
   					{
   							new avia_embed_images();
   							echo "<div class='hr_invisible '></div>";
   					}
