    First, I am loving Enfold, thank you for an awesome theme!
    I am pretty new to WP and this whole website thing so this might be something I’m doing wrong but I seem to be having continuous problems with Enfold and my settings.

    I have spent two full days searching online, your forums, etc. for answers and I have clicked on literally everything within WP and played with all of the settings and I’m stuck.

    I can’t seem to get my sidebars to appear correctly and I can’t get the navigation pages on the bottom to disappear.

    hi there,
    i am having similar issues with the sidebar.
    IU just skipped the last four updates, and after uptating to 3.02 my (left) sidebars move the whole container to the right where there is no space left for content. once removed the content of the sidebar a listung of all pages is displayed there which is weird.

    having some other issues with product images (to big now) etc…

    Hey!

    Thank you for using Enfold.

    @Monte: Have you tried using the Custom Menu widget? Looks like it will solve your problem with the sidebar navigation.

    @aovivo
    : You don’t have the same issue. Please stick to your thread. The latest version is using a new grid system. Please toggle the settings on Enfold > General Layout > Dimensions panel then save changes. If you’re using any cache or minify plugin, deactivate them first.

    Regards,
    Ismael

    I will open a new thread since I am still having problems with the sidebar adjustment.

    my best regards

    Yes, I’ve tried custom menus. I’ve spent two full days (literally) trying to fix these things and nothing works. I’m about ready to change themes I’m so frustrated and can’t seem to get any help for everything I’ve mentioned above. I can’t go public with my site until this is all cleaned up.

    There is definitely something within Enfold. I have two pages that have the exact same settings and one appears how I want it to with only one simple side menu and the other has an extra random menu on it (so it has two, the one I want plus another weird one).

    How do I get rid of this?

    I read in some thread somewhere that others were having a problem getting rid of the tabbed archive menu which mine still shows on the bottom of some of my pages so is this all tied together that something isn’t working with the menus and sidebars?? I have cleared cache, etc. numerous times.

    Hey!

    I guess you’re referring to the nested navigation when you say “random” menu. You can disable the nested navigation on Enfold > Sidebar Settings > Page Sidebar navigation. To help you with the widget visibility, please use this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/widget-logic/

    Cheers!

    No, something doesn’t make sense – I am either doing something completely wrong or there is issues in Enfold. I clicked on the item you say and UN-checked it so it wouldn’t show the menus but instead of one now there is three! My sidebars don’t seem to be displaying what my settings are!

    Again, I am also having issues with the tabbed archive menu showing and I’ve seen that as a problem in other posts but no matter what I do I can’t clear it. Can someone PLEASE give me better answers to fix this??

    Do I need to start separate threads for my other questions in my first post as well because I am not getting answers for those.

    Are you running any plug-ins that add widget ares? There are a lot of plug-ins that add widget-areas (aka sidebars). When you look at your widget areas, do you see anything you did not create that are not from Enfold?

    #342227

    Sorarmediapro, thank you for your suggestion but no, I have no extra plug-ins that add sidebars. I already had the Widget Logic plugin installed. I went and took out the two main menus I created so there should be nothing there but it is not working. I tried adding a blank text box and setting the widget logic to reset query so it thinks nothing is there like I saw on a thread but that doesn’t work either. I have menus all over the place that shouldn’t be there. I am either missing something very easy or Enfold has issues.

    So far I’ve discovered a trick with the Widgit Logic plugin. I’ve had to add a blank text box and change the settings to reset query apparently. It doesn’t help matters that my Internet is waaaaaay slow where I live.

    Hey!

    The default sidebar navigation is triggered when you set a page hierarchy. It is actually not a random page. They are nested child pages of a specific page. Did you set a parent page for these pages?

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    #348673

    Yes. I have the pages set with parent pages. NOTHING works. I still haven’t received a response to my other questions above. I am really, really fed up with this theme. My website developer is also having problems with it and said it doesn’t update very quick for her to even look at changes (one of the same problem I’ve been having) and she wants me to change themes. Seriously, can someone actually REALLY help me with this or not??

    If you can’t, please tell me that so I can move on to another theme.

    Hi!

    Your first 3 questions on your first post are basically the same. All you need is to control the menu on the sidebar on different pages. We suggested to use the Custom Menu widget to create custom sidebar menus then add the Widget Logic Plugin to control the visibility of the widget. If you’re trying to show this widget on a specific category, you need the is_category() conditional function. For single post pages, you can use the is_single() function. Please refer to the wp conditional codex for more info: http://codex.wordpress.org/Conditional_Tags

    If you’re developer is having difficulty configuring the plugin options, please post the login details here and set it as a private reply. We’ll try to create a few examples which she can follow.

    Try to remove the tab on the blog page with this on Quick CSS:

    .page-id-3381 .tabcontainer.top_tab {
    display: none;
    }

    I’ll ask the rest of the support team to check the thread. Maybe they have better idea on how to create custom menus on different pages.

    Best regards,
    Ismael
