If you have troubles since the update to WordPress 4.5 please read this post before opening a new thread.
I pasted the tracking code a while ago – and it seems to be tracking visits to the home page only but no details of visitor flow through the different pages. any suggestions on how to change this?
the site is http://www.max-edwards.com
any help is appreciated.
I’m not sure why that is happening but looking at your pages the tracking code is in place on all of them.
follow up question:
I have a few of my creations shown as “portfolio items” and a few as independent pages. Is it possible that the pages would track better with google analytics than the portfolio items?
thanks for your help
They both get spit out by WordPress as full pages so what they are on the WordPress side of things doesn’t matter.
Just to verify, can you paste exactly what you have in the Google analytics field from the theme options here?
You can send the information to my email at DevinVinson (at) gmail.com. Make sure to include a link to this topic so that my spam filter doesn’t grab it :)
I just want to make sure you have the full code and aren’t missing anything. So if you could log into your analytics account and compare the full script with what you have in that field it would just be a good verification.
