    1- I’ve read somewhere in the forum that changing/replasing demo pages in the template can cose some problems (although can’t find that tread now) Basicaly want to remove dummy pages and replase them with new ones. Is it safe to do that or I should be aware of something before doing it?

    2- In the demo version ,welcome page ,above the slider there is quote writen,when I uploaded demo content the quote wasn’t there (I think) anyway, I was trying to find where can I tipe something to apear above the slider, and couln’t find.

    3- I know I was reading this question before ,but again,can’t find it now.. How can I write the phone number in the sidebar to apear under the horizontal line above the copyrights?

    I think this is it,many thanks

    Hi,

    1. You can delete them, or you can edit them to change them , it is up to you. The demo data is only there to give you an understanding and inspiration towards building your own pages. You can safely delete it (or keep it) or change it. I personally prefer to start a site fresh, without demo data in there, so I guess its a matter of personal preference.

    2. http://www.kriesi.at/themes/coalition/ This is the demo. Create a dynamic template with the following http://www.clipular.com/c?6942172=vgqjpV5TvyanpOevzRQEtKLxjls&f=.png (display content of this post page) for the 2 elements below, and add the template to your welcome page.

    3. You can either add a text widget and have the phone number inside it. or you can edit sidebar.php line 72, where the copyright notice is and just add a line between 71 and 72 that would look like

    echo '<span class="phone_number">Phone Number: 555-555-5555</span><hr /><br>';

    Thanks,

    Nick

    Thank you Nick,

    I removed demo pages and created the new ones,only problem now- i cant make them in order that i want.. I go to apearance>menus ,then ajusting them in order that I like to see them,but still they show in random order on the page.

    For the second and third : I created dynamic template for the home page,but it has limited text styles. Also sidebar phone number shows in small text and grey colour. Maybe you can advice me what widgets I should instal to make text look better on the home page and for sidebar phone number in large digits and colour of my choice

    Hi,

    Every page has a place to add a number so its position in menus can be guaranteed. http://i.imgur.com/bTWKJSj.png

    Please leave phone number in sidebar , I changed my above answer so now there is a class which you can style like this (add it to your /css/custom.css file

    #top .phone_number {
    color: #F00;
    margin-left: 35px;
    font-size: 1.05em;
    font-style: italic;
    line-height: 15px;
    }

    Thanks,

    Nick

    Hi,

    I updated my previous answer with the css that works, Obviously you should change the color , add or remove anything in there you don’t need.

    Thnks,

    Nick

    Thank you Nick,now it works fine.

    Only one more thing- when adding the code to sidebar.php there is a black line under the phone number. I tried to delete some parts of the code and the line disapears although, then the number is right over the copyrights info. How to get rid of the line and keep the space above the copyrights?

    p.s. as I asked before about the text over the slider. do you know what can I do to be able to add a simple Arial fonds and spaces between the words? This would realy help me

    Thanks

    Hi,

    Sorry for the delay, had some major power outages.

    The horizontal line is either the

    <hr />

    tag , or its a border (css). I added the hr /> tag (horizontal line) since I thought you wanted it. If you need space you can use the

    <br>

    tag (break) or a few of the br> tags depending on the size of the break you want. If you look at my original code I gave you with the phone number, just replace the

    <hr />

    with .

    <br>

    =============================================

    Do you mean these words ‘Painting/Decorating, Plastering, Restoration Specialist’ you want in Arial?

    If so then add this css to your custom.css file

    .callout .content-area {
    font-family: Arial;
    }

    Thanks,

    Nick

    Thank you very much for your patience with me,

    I sorted out the phone number and did edditing to the custom.css regarding the text above the slider in home page. Althoug seems that I unable to change the text style -it apears as they interupt somehow with the text widget as “blockquote” centered or left aligned,if I chose “paragraph style” then the code in custom.css doesn’t seem to apply and no matter what text style I add to custom.css it doesn;t change only the weight and style can be eddited.

    Thank you again,

    Hi,

    It works just fine in custom.css, its just you are adding Camria (heading) which is not correct. I think you mean Cambria, since there are no Camria. You can try this below in its place

    font-family: Cambria, Georgia, serif;

    Cambria is a proprietary font. That means that if its not installed on someone’s computer, its not gonna show up. And there is a license involved in displaying it as a web font. You can download it here i think, but then you will need to convert it at font squirrel if it allows that anymore. http://www.cufonfonts.com/downloadFont/12049/cambria.zip

    Thanks,

    Nick
