Can anyone tell me how to link text (or an image) in the advertising box (header area) of Shoutbox to a page? Using HTML within the box doesn't seem to work for me. Thanks!

in your Shoutbox Theme Options > Header & Footer you should be able to input HTML in the Header Advertising Banner box. Maybe this example can help you out:
<a href="http://google.com"> <img src="http://dummyimage.com/300x50/000/ff0099" /> </a>
The above links to google.com, the shown image is http://dummyimage.com/300x50/000/ff0099. Maybe you can try copying my example and changing the link and image :) If you just want to link text you can just do this:
<a href="yourlinkhere">This is the text that will be linked</a>
Hi Chris, I have the same problem. There is no way to add HTML banner: I mean that I made an banner in Adobe Edge and so I have an folder with some js codes and HTML file. Is there any way to insert this? I tried and nothing, after that I copy whole code from my html file and after inserted i got the banner working by the template does not load images at all. Also I would like to know if I would be able to link flash banner in this aera and Shoutbox Advertising areas?
Thank you ad keep great work.
you need to paste the html code into the textfield ( Shoutbox Theme Options > Header & Footer ). It just outputs the code in the header afterwards so basically it should be possible to use a object/flash embed code too.
I have a little problem with the header ad. Adsense is not showing on the frontpage, but it is showing on all my pages. Does anyone know how to fix it?
Oh nevermind my message, it works again for me for some reason :S
I'm following these instructions in order to change the header advertising banner but I'm having an problem. The image is displayed properly but the URL when I click on it drives me to "http://mydomain.com/undefined".
Have you any idea about what is happening?

What is the code you are adding into the field? Perhaps the URL or html in general is incorrect.
