    Dear Kriesi

I have the main menu (level 1) and submenus (level 2 and 3). The Submenus are important for the structure of the page and to show them in the right sidebar. However, I do not want them to show when one hovers over the level 1 menu. Right now the submenus show when one hovers over level 1 menu.

At the end it should look the same structure as in your kriesi.at page where you do have sub-pages (like https://kriesi.at/support/forum/angular/) but the dont show when you hover over (e.g. there is no drop-down when you hover on “support”).

    Thanks for your help,
    R

    Hi eKMUch,

I’m not sure what you mean by that to be honest, you don’t want the children of your main menu links to show on hover? I think that would make things harder for your visitors to find what they are looking for? The reason why the menu looks like it does here is that the links do not have any children, you can remove them from your own menu under Appearance–>Menus.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi Rikard,

Exactly, I do not want any hover function in the header main menu. So the children should only become visible once one goes on the page of the main menu link and there the visitor will see the children pages through the page sidebar navigation. Well I disagree regarding your comment of making it harder for visitors. I am no fan of this menu hover function as I think it confuses users more than anything.

But your solution seems to be a good one, since the page sidebar navigation is still showing. Which is perfect.

    Thanks and best,
    R
