Hi, I really could use some help. I previously set up a widget in the header using the instructions here and was able to get it correctly in place with the help of your support team. Unfortunately, I didn’t have a child theme set up and I was trying to avoid having to enter all the settings again by making one just for this mod. So I simply expected to modify the functions file when enfold has an update so the widget will remain in the header. I just updated enfold today and as expected, the header widget disappeared. So I went back to the instructions and copied the code to add to the bottom of the functions file again. Obviously I did something wrong because my site is completely broken. I left the code in place in the functions file so you can check and see what I did. When I remove the code, the site works fine but the header widget it gone.

I would appreciate your help and an explanation of what I did wrong. Then I can record everything in a file I have for updates to make sure I do this correctly next time.

    Thank You!

    Barry

HTML?? – I’m sorry to bother you, I didn’t even think to check it. I assumed the code I added to functions.php was bad. Thanks again for your help.
