Ok so I am new to wordpress in general so bear with me please. The standard search bar with the theme will not search our part # variations in our woocommerce store, but the Google CSE will. I added the google cse using the quick css but it is coming up in the right sidebar and not replacing the wordpress sidebar like I want it to. (shown here)

So I need help getting the google search bar to replace the standard bar. I have seen many different ways on youtube and in google search but nothing has done what I require.

Also, I would like the google search bar to replace the “Default Sort” bar in the store. shown here.

So I need help with that as well.

Thanks for reading and any help you can offer.

By default, woocommerce doesn’t provide search by product sku for whatever strange reason. You could try this plugin:

Haven’t tried it myself but it is fairly new with good ratings.

Thank you ehong33234. That is exactly what I was looking to do! I did not know it was available in a plugin. That made all the difference in the world. Now to go see what can be done about the sort bar in woocommerce.

    Thanks for that plugin. :)

You can edit config-woocommerce > config.php, find this code:

Replace that with the google search code.

Ok so I figured out how to add product search using the widgets on woocommerce. (I know I am new)

Thank you both for your help with this.
