I would like to create a menu entry "Gallery" to the page "Gallery", in which the content and the sidebar is already hidden (like after a click to "Hide content & sidebar). How can I do that?

Hi,
Almost finished building my new site and I just wanted to put in my vote for this feature as well.
I definitely want to have clients choose a gallery and land on the page with sidebar menu hidden and thumbnails present.
The less navigating the clients/art directors have to do the better.
