Home page slider not working

Downloaded, installed and activated Newscast but the homepage slider is giving me a constant pinwheel.

Any advice?

Hey,
the slider displays the featured thumbnails ("Add featured media" option) which can be set for posts and pages. Click on "Upload" => Pick image => Use as featured image" on the post/page editor page. You need to set featured image for all posts which will display in the slider. You can change the slider category in the wp admin panel ( Newscast Options > Mainpage Options).

Many thanks. Makes logical sense now.

I was assuming the template came with pre-configured sample images.
