    I’ve setup the Home slideshow using the Caption Position & Style as “right framed – big” and “left framed – big”. On a previous version, the translucent black area would show half way into the image, with the copy on top.

    I’ve just updated to the latest version of the theme, and now the “left framed – big” translucent box randomly displays in different widths, and the “right framed – big” translucent box is always short, not making it all the way to the right edge of the image.

    Was there a change to the way the translucent boxes appear on top of the slideshow images? Is there a way to have the previous behavior?

    Hi Colombia!

    There wasn’t any change and looking at the code live on your site and the captions they are all set to 50% width and showing as such too.

    What browser is it not showing consistently for you?

    Best regards,
    Devin

    I am using Safari 6.0.5 for Mac. Same behavior in multiple computers, both using Mountain Lion or Mavericks.

    It worked perfectly on the same Macs before the update.

    I tested in Chrome for Mac (29.0.1547.76), and it is almost perfect. The right side tint boxes are about 1 or 2 pixels short on the right edge.

    This was taken out some time ago because it was no longer needed but maybe its needed once again because of safar/chrome update:

    .safari .slideshow_inner_caption{
    width:100%;
    }
    .chrome .slideshow_inner_caption {
    width:81%;
    }

    Regards,

    Devin,

    I can confirm I had the same issue, and once I found this and put that code back in it works fine again.

    Please add this code back in to a future upgrade if possible.

    Thanks
