Hi! I'm trying to change the height of the slideshow in the homepage from 340 to 500 px.
I tried with the slideshow.css, the space goes to 500 but not he gallery images,
I also looked on to the functions.php file but didn't see something related to the slideshow.
Any help please?

You can change the slideshow/image dimensions in functions.php (I'd only adjust the height value). Afterwards regenerate the thumbnails with: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/
