If you have troubles since the update to WordPress 4.5 please read this post before opening a new thread.
when people are on my main blog page, it’s hard to tell unless they scan over the picture on each post if it’s a single pic or a slideshow. is there a way to have small thumbnails underneath the main pic — on the main blog page — to let people know that there are multiple photos? i know there’s a way to do that on the individual blog post pages, but i’m hoping this can be done on the main blog page, too.
thank you so much!
I can give you a hint only: In includes/helper-slideshow.php you’ll find variables like “slidecount” or “$this->slides” which contain the number of images. You’d need to programm a function, etc. which checks the amount of images (by using the slidecount variable or by counting the slides array). If the counter is bigger than 1 you need to set a global variable which eventually triggers the output of the slideshow symbol.
I know that the instructions don’t help you if you’re no php developer but it’s a more complex (and time intensive) task.
