I can change the header/footer bg color in the backend (theme options, styling). But i want a different color for the header and the footer.
The header is white. And i want to have my footer a different color. I try some css styles in custom.css but this does not work.
What is the best way to do this?

you can add this to your custom.css
#top #footer, #top #footer span, #top #footer div, #top #footer p, #top #footer a {
background-color: #000000;
}
#socket {
background-color: #C0C0C0;
}
#footer h3 {
border-bottom: medium none ! important;
}
#footer ul ul li a, #footer ul li a, #footer ul li ul {
border-bottom: 1px solid #FFFFFF ! important;
border-top: medium none ! important;
text-decoration: none;
}
#footer ul{
border-top:1px solid #ff0000 !important;
}This should cover all the "important" separate footer colors.
