    How can I limit the height of the full width slider to e.g. 320px? I’m using a child theme.

    /Thanks

    Hey hicct!

    You can add this on your custom.css or Quick CSS:

    #top #slideshow_big {
    height: 320px;
    }

    Edit functions.php, find this code:

    $avia_config['imgSize']['featured'] = array('width'=>990, 'height'=>400 ); // images for fullsize pages and fullsize slider

    Replace it with:

    $avia_config['imgSize']['featured'] = array('width'=>990, 'height'=>320 ); // images for fullsize pages and fullsize slider

    Regenerate the thumbnails using this plugin: http://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi Ismael

    Thanks for your reply.
    I have inplemented your proposal and the slider now only show as 320px high, but the new picture (285x265px) that I have uploaded for the slider still show bigger and is cut of at the bottom and the text and button are placed very close to the slider bottom now.

    I’m using the following settings in the slider:
    Short caption title and text.
    Caption Position and Style: Right without frame – big.
    Slideshow layout: Small image/video left with top and bottom margin.

    Hope you can help fix my problem.

    /thanks

    Hey!

    Did you regenerate the thumbnails? Can you please give us a link to the website? The image you’re uploading is very small. Try to upload images with 320px in height.

    Cheers!
    Ismael

    Hi Ismael

    Yes, I did regenerate the thumbnails and the image I use now is also uploaded after i made the change. Sorry, but right now the site is local only.

    I’m using a 285px high image because I want the slider to be 320px high and I’m using the Slideshow layout: Small image/video left with TOP and BOTTOM margin.

    I was hoping that there maybe was something that still needed to be changed for the image to behave.

    /Thanks

    Hey!

    Please try adding following code to Quick CSS in Choices theme options under Styling tab

    .small_image .slideshow_media_wrap { width: 30%; }
    div .slideshow .slideshow_caption { top: -20%; }

    This is how it should look http://i.imgur.com/k70xjUc.jpg
