i guess i need a plugin and i installed one call “Disqus Comment” but i cant find it on the widgets list. i tried more plugins but nothing show there. other plugins that don’t related to comments are work fine.

    what might be the problem?

    Hi yanivsolomon,

One of the boxes underneath the visual editor when creating a post is called Discussion. Make sure the option for “Allow comments” is checked.

Additionally in your wordpress Settings>Discussion make sure the option for “Allow people to post comments on new articles ” is checked as well.

    Regards,

    Devin

    I have/had a similar problem in that I can’t/couldn’t see a comments section.

I feel stupid — I tried looking underneath the visual editor for a box called discussion but to no avail.

I did however notice in the “quick edit” section the box to check to allow/not allow comments. So, that is a fix. However, I still don’t know how to initially allow/not allow comments when I create a new post.

    Hi,

When you click New Post, at the very top right of the screen there is a button ‘Screen Options’ , inside there is a check box ‘Discussion’ . Please make sure that its checked and on the bottom of the same page you will now see the option to permit/forbid comments to that specific post.

    Good luck!

    Nick
