If you have troubles since the update to WordPress 4.5 please read this post before opening a new thread.
I search for excerpt settings.
I’m trying to put a blog on my website http://www.formation-auray.fr
I added a dynamic template “Le blog” in which I Added only the element “Blog”
I create a page “Blog” with dynamic template “Le Blog” and I put an access to this page in the main menu.
When I display the page “Blog”, I have the entire content of post and not the excerpt as I want.
My eyes are not in front of their holes ?
I reply to me,
Instead using excerpt, I used the <!–more–> balise and it’s OK for me.
Sorry for my frenglish and for using typically frenchies expressions (eyes and holes ;) )
I can respond in French too if you’d like. From what I understand your problem is solved, correct?
Let us know if there’s anything else :)
Wait! I have the same question: How do I tell the main page that I only want excerpts of posts to display (rather than the entire page or post)? If I just need to add <!–more–> where in the code do I insert it? Thanks!
You can add this shortcode/tag inside your text content. See: http://codex.wordpress.org/Customizing_the_Read_More for more information.
