I tried to follow other posts about this but this seems dumb to have to do workarounds for something so simple. My dropdowns work great but I dont want my subpage left nav to be alphabetized. I want it to be like my dropdown order.
The subpages are not connected to the main menu and you can’t “inherit” the order. If you want to change the page order install a plugin like: http://wordpress.org/plugins/post-types-order/ which helps you to apply a custom order to all pages/posts. Then open up sidebar.php and replace
$children = wp_list_pages("title_li=&child_of=". $parent ."&echo=0");
$children = wp_list_pages("sort_column=menu_order&title_li=&child_of=". $parent ."&echo=0");
to make sure that the custom page order is used instead of the alphabetic order.
This worked for the dropdowns but not all of the side navigation in Incarnation updated correctly. Is there additional code to add for this?
