How do I size the Menu items?

Hey I just need to know two things I couldn't find them through the search im sure because it is a simple thing to do but I want to make the menu items smaller so I can fit more across the top. Also If you see on my site it almost duplicates it right above it. I want to remove the duplication that is shown above the menu items. Heres my site solotraveltoday.com

My last question, How do I change the font colors of the menu and their background colors? This I can't figure out
