    Hi guys,

    I need to adjust footer widgets widths in Broadscope theme.

    I’ve followed instructions for Avisio but they don’t work:

    http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/adjust-footer-widgets-widths

    Waiting for advice, thanks in advance

    Regards,

    Hey,

    open up footer.php. You’ll find various divs with the class:

    class="one_fifth"

    Change the class to two_fifth, etc. if you want to double the width. You can also use other classes – possibilities are:

    .one_fifth	{	overflow: hidden; margin-left: 4%; width:16.5%; float:left;	position:relative; display:inline;}
    .one_fourth { overflow: hidden; margin-left: 4%; width:22%; float:left; position:relative; display:inline;}
    .one_third { overflow: hidden; margin-left: 4%; width:30%; float:left; position:relative; display:inline;}
    .two_fifth { overflow: hidden; margin-left: 4%; width:38.5%; float:left; position:relative; display:inline;}
    .one_half { overflow: hidden; margin-left: 4%; width:48%; float:left; position:relative; display:inline;}
    .three_fifth{ overflow: hidden; margin-left: 4%; width:57%; float:left; position:relative; display:inline;}
    .two_third { overflow: hidden; margin-left: 4%; width:66%; float:left; position:relative; display:inline;}
    .three_fourth{ overflow: hidden; margin-left: 4%; width:74%; float:left; position:relative; display:inline;}
    .four_fifth { overflow: hidden; margin-left: 4%; width:79%; float:left; position:relative; display:inline;}

    Hey Dude,

    Thanks for answer, I have opened the footer.php but can’t find the code mentioned above.

    Are You sure it’s located in footer.php ?

    Yes,

    the code in footer.php looks like:

    <div class="one_fifth first">
    <span class='arrow-down'></span>
    <?php if (function_exists('dynamic_sidebar') && dynamic_sidebar('Footer - column1') ) : else : avia_dummy_widget(1); endif; // dummy widgets defined at the bottom of sidebar-widgets.php ?>
    </div>
    <div class="one_fifth">
    <span class='arrow-down'></span>
    <?php if (function_exists('dynamic_sidebar') && dynamic_sidebar('Footer - column2') ) : else : avia_dummy_widget(2); endif; // dummy widgets defined at the bottom of sidebar-widgets.php ?>
    </div>
    <div class="one_fifth">
    <span class='arrow-down'></span>
    <?php if (function_exists('dynamic_sidebar') && dynamic_sidebar('Footer - column3') ) : else : avia_dummy_widget(3); endif; // dummy widgets defined at the bottom of sidebar-widgets.php ?>
    </div>
    <div class="one_fifth">
    <span class='arrow-down'></span>
    <?php if (function_exists('dynamic_sidebar') && dynamic_sidebar('Footer - column4') ) : else : avia_dummy_widget(4); endif; // dummy widgets defined at the bottom of sidebar-widgets.php ?>
    </div>

    <div class="one_fifth">
    <span class='arrow-down'></span>
    <?php if (function_exists('dynamic_sidebar') && dynamic_sidebar('Footer - column5') ) : else : ?>
    <a href='<?php echo get_permalink(avia_get_option('avia, email_page'));?>' class='custom_button rounded'><strong><?php _e('Contact Form','avia_framework'); ?></strong><span><?php _e('get in touch with us','avia_framework'); ?></span></a>
    <p><?php _e('This site uses valid HTML and CSS. All contents Copyright &copy;','avia_framework'); echo get_bloginfo('name');?></p>

    Maybe try to download footer.php from your server by using a ftp software and upload it again after you modified it.

    Ok, I’ve got it, in my footer.php the class is “one_third”

    As I see, the classes above have constant width value, but I still want to have control over 3 columns, so I can set them up manually, like mentioned below:

    === 1 column === ======= 2 column ======= =============== 3 column ===============

    At the moment the framework doesn’t over a sixth column class – so you need to create your own:

    .one_sixth	{	overflow: hidden; margin-left: 3%; width:15%; float:left; 	position:relative; display:inline;}
    .two_sixth { overflow: hidden; margin-left: 3%; width:30%; float:left; position:relative; display:inline;}
    .three_sixth { overflow: hidden; margin-left: 3%; width:45%; float:left; position:relative; display:inline;}

    should do the trick.

    Change the footer column classes accordingly.

    thanks Dude for an advice, but tell me please where shall I copy the code?

    I already tried to put it in footer.php but some error occurs.

    #43845

    Hey,

    add it to custom.css (located in the folder “css”).

    #43846

    yeah, that’s what I was looking for, huge thanks Dude for awesome support :-)
